NT8 Charts are slow to load – Algo Futures Trader Help Center

1) Setup for Manual Downloading

A) Create the instrument list and download data manually - then open the workspace of choice

Switch Off Option "Market Data Get Data"- Manually Download Data

Close All workspaces
Start with a blank workspace and Connection disconnected
NinjaTrader > Tools > Options > Market Data Get Data From Server: Off
Connect & Manually Download Data for:
1. the last 24 hours since you downloded
2. or longer if not done before 7 to 15 days or so.
Open the Workspace

2) AFT8 Lite workspaces

AFT8 Lite workspaces for Traders with Performance lag on the full workspaces - we now have released "Lite" Workspaces These simply miss out the "Market Analyzer TrendOmeter Grid" this could take too long to load or cause a log jam depending on your location/internet and pc and so on. So you can instead simply open the "Lite" versions of each workspace from the control Center.

Within NT8 Control Center Close all workspaces Open Workspaces to view and open one of:

AFT8-SFG Breakout Trader-0000A-Lite
AFT8-SFG Breakout Trader-0000B-Lite

3) AWT TrendOmeter

This is a far more advanced system than NinjaTrader AFT8 and provides far deeper technicals and can be used instead - with zero lag https://alphawebtrader.com/trendometer

4) Dummy Workspace open

Using a combo or one of the above in addition you can load a blank workspace and a blank workspace and toggle between them + Shift + F3 to show the empty one.. wait a few minutes for the other to load - then switch to it.

5) Hardware setup PS Spec and Dual NVME Drives

PC Specs and SSD NVME Drive + C + D
Drive C NVME Samsung Evo for the OS
Drive D for "Documents" location for NT8 install
